Privacy policy

Sawa Studios is a video production studio run by Anna Wojtasinska in Sydney (ABN 81 763 012 041). This policy explains what personal information is collected through this website, why, and how it is looked after. It follows the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What is collected

Only what you choose to send through the enquiry form:

• your name and email address;
• your company or venue and phone number, if you add them;
• what your project is for, roughly when and where, and anything you write about it;
• any files you attach, such as images, videos or documents.

There is no account to create, no analytics or advertising tracking, and no cookies set by this site.

How it is used

Your details are used to reply to your enquiry, discuss your project, and prepare a scope and a quote. If you go on to book, they are also used to deliver the work and for invoicing. Nothing is sold, rented or used for marketing.

Who else handles it

• The form service. Enquiries, and any files attached to them, are received by Netlify, which hosts this website and stores submissions on its servers in the United States so they can reach my inbox.
• Email. Replies are sent from and kept in my business email account.
• Fonts and video. The site's typefaces load from Google Fonts, and some films play from YouTube once you press play. Like any website, these services see your browser's IP address when they send you a file.

Your information is not shared with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not go ahead are deleted within 24 months. Details for booked projects are kept for as long as the work needs them and for tax records, which in Australia is generally five years.

Keeping it safe

Your information is kept in password-protected accounts that only I can access, and files you send are never shared or published.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your details

You can ask to see the information held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, at any time. Email hello@sawastudios.com and you will hear back within 30 days.

If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, email hello@sawastudios.com first. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
